Ebay Lisk Roasters

OK, so once in a while someone posts a Chambers range for five or six thousand dollars and we all giggle...but checkout the Lisk Roasters on Ebay and look at the $1600.00 light blue job !!! Sellers claims it is a salesman sample with normal wear and tear....sure. Item # 6279084633

Sorry, the reserve is actually $1,125.00...SUCH A DEAL !

It's not even in "perfect" condition! Then again, neither was the one I bought. Although, mine is more than twice the size and cost me $16.

Silly people! Wonder if there's a silly buyer out there?!?!?

Although the price is truly beyond the pale, I think the seller is probably right about what it is.

I bought the coolest little product insert on ebay a few months ago. It must have come along with the new roasters, and tells how to use the roasters and also gives info on the other models available. So, I have a list of all the sizes that Lisk was making, and none were that tiny!! The smallest, size 0, was 14.5"long x 6.75" high x 9.875" wide.

The tiny little pip on ebay is only 2.75" high by 6.5" long. What could one possibly fit in that? Either it was a sample or it was a child's toy. It's pretty cool, but the price is NUTS!!!

[On a side note, I saw an auction for a set of 4 splash-proof Fire King jadite bowls with a rare pattern sell for over $1700 recently. I couldn't believe it.]

I saw a couple unusual Lisk roasters a couple weeks ago at a local antique/junk barn. One was white, and another one was a sage green. The green was PRETTY and looked original. Has anyone else run into this color?
